Early Childhood Home Visiting programs through Family Lifeline are free, voluntary, and take place in families’ homes. Participants receive home visits by Parents as Teachers certified Parent Educators. Parent Educators partner with families to learn fun activities that help children develop, to create family goals and to connect to community resources needed to reach these goals. This program strives to increase parent knowledge of childhood development and early learning. Working with parents, the parent educators screen the children for any developmental delays and help them to track their progress. Home Care and Visiting Volunteers programs through Family Lifeline offer older adults and people with disabilities the support and resources necessary to meet their basic self-care, emotional, and physical needs in a setting they prefer their home so that they can remain safely in their own homes and enjoy a quality of life that preserves their dignity and promotes their independence.
