The mission of The Wellness Group Youth and Family Services, Inc. is to provide effective mental health services that improve the lives of individuals and promote a healthier community. Our philosophy is built on the premise that services must be person-centered and adhere to the highest quality standards for our communities. Services offered are: Mental Health Skill Building, EPSDT, Therapeutic Day Treatment, Intensive In Home, Crisis Intervention, Residential Services, Parent Services, Family Counseling, Substance Abuse Counseling, Marriage Counseling, and Supportive Employment Services.

For 114 years, UMFS has been helping children and families in Virginia find hope. Through our treatment foster care program, foster parents and children find one another and often go on to become adoptive families. Through our residential treatment programs at the Child & Family Healing Center and Leland House, girls and boys overcome trauma and heal. Through Charterhouse School, students with special needs and autism find help and success. And through Project LIFE, teens aging out of foster care in Virginia find new skills and a voice. Through all of our services children and families find hope.

Safe Harbor’s mission is to empower survivors of sexual and domestic violence to transform their lives and promote healthy relationships for all. Safe Harbor has 4 core programs: community counseling, court advocacy, emergency shelter and community education. Our largest program, the community counseling program, provides trauma-informed individual and group counseling to children and adults who have been affected by sexual or domestic violence. Our court advocacy program provides support to survivors seeking protective orders. Originally started as a safe house, Safe Harbor continues to provide emergency shelter to survivors in imminent danger and provides education to paraprofessionals, organizations and community members on issues of sexual and domestic violence and training on best practices and trauma informed care.

Our program is a rehabilitation program located in Highland Park. The program offers women a unique opportunity to participate in residential substance abuse treatment; their children are able to accompany them into the program, thus enabling the family to stay together. This recovery program focuses on addiction and parenting issues, as well as helping the family move towards a healthier and more functional family lifestyle. The disease of drug addiction affects all kinds of people from all walks of life. We are privileged to serve the women and children who are affected by the devastating illness.

The mission of Full Circle is to provide comprehensive, professional bereavement support to children, adults, families, and communities. As a leader in their local community, Full Circle offers grief groups, remembrance programs, and educational trainings. All of their programs are led by experienced counselors or social workers and are offered at no cost to the participants.

Comfort Zone Camp

Comfort Zone Camp is a nonprofit 501(c) 3 bereavement camp that transforms the lives of children who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling, or primary caregiver. The free camps include confidence building programs and age-based support groups that break the emotional isolation grief often brings. Comfort Zone Camps are offered to children 7-17, and are held year-round across the country. We have offices in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and Virginia.

All Family Matters, Inc.

All Family Matters, Inc. now offers four programs for individuals and families. Their Intensive In-Home Service offers individual and family/counseling therapy, crisis intervention, and case management services to children 3-18 years with a mental health diagnosis or behavioral disorder. The Mental Health Skill-Building Program offers case management and supportive counseling to adults 18 and over with a mental health diagnosis. Their Therapeutic Day Treatment Program serves children ages 3 to 16 with behavioral disorders and mental health diagnoses that are not able to manage appropriate behavior within traditional settings. This program will not be operating during the summer of 2014. We are also offering a group home for adult individuals with intellectual disability.
