Safe Harbor’s mission is to empower survivors of sexual and domestic violence to transform their lives and promote healthy relationships for all. Safe Harbor has 4 core programs: community counseling, court advocacy, emergency shelter and community education. Our largest program, the community counseling program, provides trauma-informed individual and group counseling to children and adults who have been affected by sexual or domestic violence. Our court advocacy program provides support to survivors seeking protective orders. Originally started as a safe house, Safe Harbor continues to provide emergency shelter to survivors in imminent danger and provides education to paraprofessionals, organizations and community members on issues of sexual and domestic violence and training on best practices and trauma informed care.

Family Preservation at Richmond Department of Social Services provides assistance to families with children who are in need of emergency and supportive services to strengthen families to enable them to remain independent in their homes and to keep children safe and well. A range of services are offered including those that minimize the risk of homelessness, improve family communication, meet family goals and prevent out of home placement of children.

PK Management LLC is a privately owned company that buys and manages low income property across the United States. Most of the properties have a service coordinator on staff to assist in secondary and tertiary prevention by locating appropriate agencies in the communities that provide case management and to have agencies come to the property to provide educational workshops on important topics. Service coordinators also are involved with community coalitions and other partners that build positive relationships for the community at large.

Opportunity Alliance and Reentry is a non-profit which serves individuals who are currently incarcerated and/or have been released from incarceration within the last six months. Operating from a case management model, OAR provides stabilization, transitional, employment, and intensive services. These services include but are not limited to: assistance with accessing housing, mental health services, substance abuse services, developing parenting skills, addressing criminogenic needs and cognition, and securing and maintaining employment. As an organization, we strongly believe in second chances and that every individual deserves to live a happy and healthy life.
