www.thecolemaninstitute.com

The Coleman Institute is a national organization providing innovative substance abuse treatment. TCI offers an Accelerated Detoxification Treatment, an abstinence-based outpatient treatment program. We serve those addicted to opiates, alcohol, and benzodiazepines. Our standard Accelerated Opiate Detox occurs over a period of three days, after which we provide a Naltrexone implant. Naltrexone, an opiate blocker, is an abstinence-based alternative to maintenance medications such as buprenorphine and methadone. By blocking opiate receptor sites, Naltrexone helps to prevent relapse by inhibiting patients from experiencing any euphoric effect of opiates. Dr. Coleman pioneered the Naltrexone implant, a small, dissolvable pellet inserted into the lower abdomen which protects patients for a period of two months. We work collaboratively with our patients to better understand their psycho-social backgrounds, experiences of trauma, and addiction history in order to support them in determining a clinically appropriate and comprehensive aftercare treatment plan. We are passionate about helping our patients begin their journey to long- term recovery.
